Now that the mobile and desktop versions have all been re-branded to ThinkTrader, moving forward there will be more frequent updates. This kind of detailed input is welcomed and much appreciated. It doesn’t seem to be possible to change the relative size of each chart.ĭear User, Thank you for your comprehensive review and taking the time and effort to comment. I would like to have from left to right: 1w, 1d, 4h, 1h for the same instrument. 4x1 for 4 charts across the screen instead of being limited to one large chart across the screen and 3 below (or 1 large to the left and 3 to the right). The chart schemes functionality is adequate but it would be better if you could also configure how many charts you have vertically and horizontally. ![]() The stuff it doesn’t do, I think I can live with.Ĭross chart cursor sync on the same instrument would be really helpful, as would cross chart annotations. So far, it’s the best native MacOS charting package I’ve found, doing 95% of what I need out of the box. Creating a new line and duplicating it immediately did however work. Later when trying to copy a trend line I get a “Failed to copy” tool error. I would like the cursor to appear on the candle of a 4h chart, when I have the cursor over a candle on the 1h chart. The inspector does not work across charts. a trend line will snap to a high or a low of a candle) (Later I worked out it’s a snap tool, i.e. I click on it but as far as I can tell it does nothing. There’s a magnet symbol which I have no idea what it does. There are no tooltips on buttons below the charts so you have to guess what they are, or click on them. do not appear across charts for the same instrument. Trendlines work nicely, they automatically project forward in time but not backward (which is nice) and it’s easy to duplicate them for channels.Īnother requirement I have is for multiple charts showing the same instrument but different time periods, I was happy to find this ability in “Chart schemes” and I was able to link the charts so when I choose say a different currency, all the charts change to show that currency but maintain their timeframe.Ĭons (These are things that perhaps are possible but I couldn’t work out quickly): Indicators seem to be unlimited which is important to me - on other packages you seem to be limited to 3 exponential Fas and 3 simple MAs which seems crazy. So far I was able to add multiple basic indicators, mainly Moving averages both simple and exponential, was able to set a couple of those to averages of the highs and lows. Hello, Thank you for your kind words - we are thrilled you enjoy the app ! This functionality is already possible - please send an email to and we can troubleshoot if it is not working on your Mac. Thankyou for the great app hopefully you will change that small part. Please I find it so annoying that there is a massive chunk of the screen not being used where it can be replaced by the chart and this does make a huge difference, please make it so you can reduce the size of the bottom part so that there is a larger part of the screen showing the chart, then this app will be perfect, I will still give it a good score, since it totally deserves it and the windows application doesn’t have this problem. I absolutely LOVE the app, it has been the key determinant in my trading success along with the proper education, but I am begging you to update the version on MAC to the version on windows where you can reduce the size of the trading history section so that there is more screen real-estate for the chart showing the currency pair.
